PATRICIA (PAT) HANSEN is running for one of two seats on the Evesham Township Council because she is inspired by public service, is concerned about the future of her neighbors and neighborhoods, and wants to ensure proper investment in our community’s future.
Ms. Hansen has first-hand experience of years of the Township and Council not listening to her neighborhood’s concerns. She saw the Mayor and Council refuse to answer resident’s questions until pressured by the community to reverse course. For years Ms. Hansen and her neighbors have brought attention to the Township about problems with roads and flooding around Greenlane Fields, including blockage of a sidewalk ramp, only to be met with red tape.
Ms. Hansen’s experience and time in the community partnered with her professional experience in human resources gives her the background needed to bring a new perspective and voice to the Township Council as well as a line of communication for all members of the community. Her experience with detailed contracts and management in a large and complex organization such as Amtrak gives Ms. Hansen the skills needed to scrutinize finances and the budget, labor affairs, and help taxpayers receive better services and value for their taxpayer dollars.
Ms. Hansen is running for Council because she wants her local government to work as well as it can for all members of the community. She believes that Council members can serve as a strong link between the community and Township and can use that link to improve everyone’s lives and intends to bring civility and improved communication to the Township Council.
