Celebrating and Raising Awareness

We have continued our traditional ceremonies and festivals such as 4th of July, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and our 9-11 Remembrance ceremony, and added several more to celebrate all of our residents and bring awareness to parts of our community and history that had not been previously recognized, including:

  • Pride Month & LGBTQ Flag Raising Ceremony
  • Juneteenth Celebration
  • Diwali Celebration
  • Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Festival
  • Cultural Day Festival

Recognizing Youth and Student Achievements in Athletics, Academics, the Arts, & Community Service

Our children are so talented and accomplish so much, and it is important to recognize their achievements in all areas – sports, academics, music and arts, scouting, and giving back to the community.

Recognizing Residents Who Make a Difference

As elected officials, we know we are in a unique position to raise awareness. That’s why we always make sure to recognize our residents who contribute to our community in a positive way with proclamations and awards such as the Power of One, Community Impact Award, and Citizen Volunteer of the Year for Veterans. We also make sure we use our unique role to give back to causes such as Help Bag Hunger, food drives, landscaping improvements at the Marlton VFW, and backpack and school supply collections.
